Be less sloppy about communicating whether the emulated command bar has handled a keypress or not. This stops the key handler from intercepting shortcuts meant for the line edit (e.g. ctrl-z, which is "Undo" in my setup).

Again, no automated test for this: there's something very odd about manually triggering shortcuts with Qt in Xvfb compared to under normal X.
